PRAYER BOX

Please continue to keep the Templeton brothers, Mike & Brian, as well as their families in your prayers.
We sometimes forget about the sacrifices being made at home by the families of our service members.
Let's not forget those who keep the home fires burning and the struggles they must endure while their spouse is defending freedom for all.
Please keep the 39th Brigade Combat Team - Arkansas Army National Guard, N. Little Rock in your prayers.
Please keep the 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade - Ft. Bragg, North Carolina in your prayers.
Rita Stirewalt, PKC's Columnist, has had knee surgery and we pray that she will be up and around again very soon. Hang in there, Breetie!
Thank you for your continued prayers and God bless you all!
Rita's Writin'.... HAVE YOU SEEN MY “HERO” ? Would you know me if we passed on the street, or our eyes met across the pews during a Sunday service? Could you recognize who I am by the accent with which I speak, or the color of my skin? As unfamiliar as we are, I search my memory, in recognition of your body art, or slightly alarming hair style. You are not the donor of my kidney, nor am I the recipient of a unit of your blood, but you and I are deeply connected. We have gazed upon the same stars, and prayed to the same God, asking for the same miracles. Age is irrelevant, and location perhaps a coincidence, but we are one. Separated by chance, yet I so dependent upon you. I watched you mature. No matter where I went, there you were, a vital part of my existence, and then you left. No letters or fanfare, no notice. You left. You shall return, perhaps not the same person you once were, but you will return with honor. It is you, my unknown friend, who has fought for my freedom, and for that of others who have never experienced “Liberty And Justice For All.” Perhaps you are the child I never knew, the “Hero” to whom I gave birth. My childhood friend with whom I lost contact, or my sibling, separated at birth. You have given to me, all that you are, for the sake of my future and that of others, and I long to meet the “The Patriot,” whom I have never known.
